"Secret Santa" Project for New Teachers
Each year the Community Relations committee supports first-year teachers with classroom items from their wish lists. Typical items requested include books, games, and art supplies, and the most frequently requested items are supplies to assist the students who experience sensory issues and other learning challenges. Blood Drives
SAR works with Community Blood Center to organize several blood drives each year. In 2022-2023, SAR blood drives collected over 140 pints of blood, which has impacted over 400 lives.

In addition to collecting tabs, the committee has supported RMHC by collecting baskets for their online auction items, encouraging members to participate in their fundraisers and events, and encouraging people to donate items from their wish lists.
Park Clean-up Days and Other Small Projects
In 2022, the committee organized 65 volunteer hours cleaning up parks and assisting local charities with manual labor.
In 2022, the committee worked with local restaurants to raise $681.27 for Helping Hands Humane Society.
In 2023, more park cleaning and volunteering at Habitat for Humanity.
