Joining SAR and/or SMLS

Joining the Sunflower Association, Sunflower MLS, or Both?

Association membership and MLS membership are separate. While Sunflower MLS members are required to be REALTORS®, they are not required to be members of SAR specifically.

MLS Membership

Provides access to the SMLS database for analyses and cooperation with other participants and subscribers.

Agents, your broker must be a member before you can join the association or the MLS.

Membership Application Process

Sunflower MLS Membership

Sunflower Association members and members in good standing with another REALTOR® association may subscribe to the Sunflower Multiple Listing Service.

For REALTORS® who are not Sunflower Association members:

  • Your broker must be a participant before you can become a subscriber.
  • You will need to submit a Letter of Good Standing from your primary association. (It must have a date on it.)
  • You will be granted access to the Sunflower Association library of forms.
  • You will be required to attend training regarding MLS usage, MLS rules, and the SAR residential contract.
  • You will be charged the one-time SAR initial fee.
