Northeast Kansas Home Sales Rose in August
Total home sales in the Northeast Kansas MLS System rose by
112.5% last month to 17 units, compared to 8 units in August
2017. Total sales volume was $1.9 million, up 121.7% from a
year earlier. The median sale price in August was $90,000, up from $85,400
a year earlier. Homes that sold in August were typically on the
market for 94 days and sold for 95.0% of their list prices.
Northeast Kansas Active Listings Up at End of August
The total number of active listings in the Northeast Kansas
MLS System at the end of August was 77 units, up from 39 at
the same point in 2017. This represents a 15.7 months’ supply
of homes available for sale. The median list price of homes on
the market at the end of August was $68,000.
During August, a total of 7 contracts were written up from 4 in
August 2017. At the end of the month, there were 10 contracts
pending, compared to 4 at the end of August 2017.
